Activities at Ross Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Fang-tastic Halloween Party

It has been a fabulous week preparing for our big Halloween party and yesterday we had a ball. There was toffee apple and cupcake making, as well as a bush tucker trial for the staff! Our amazing displays produced by Hayley, our Activities Coordinator, included the opportunity for residents to become a witch, Julie, Ross Court General Manager led the way with karaoke and there was plenty of dancing. The witch's brew went down a treat and our hospitality team served up food with a Halloween theme. The home looked amazing and we have some great photos.

Halloween Party Preparations

This week has been all things halloween in preparation for our big party.  Residents had great fun decorating the home, pumpkin carving and a few interesting facts about halloween, which we didn't know began in Ireland.  To add to the atmosphere Moster Mash was playing in the background!

Ping Pong at Ross Court!

What a fun afternoon of ping pong with a difference, with lots of fun and giggles. To relax after all that exercise was afternoon tea to music that the residents picked from Alexa.

Nature Photography

Daily walks are enjoyed by residents and today one took these fabulous photos.  We were chatting about the many textures and colours in nature and all agreed autumn offers such beauty.  What a talented photographer we have capturing such different images.

Let's Get Moving

Residents had a great session with G Fitness. These classes are really beneficial offering a range of exercises suitable for all.  Gfitness instructors are specially trained to work with those living with dementia and with limitations on activity they focus on areas such as strength and balance.
