Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Performing Pets
Here at Shelburne Lodge, we had the most amazing visit from Performing Pets! It was an absolute blast to have these incredible feathered friends bring some extra joy and happiness to our day! The Birds therapy session was an absolute treat for everyone involved. These beautiful creatures fluttered around, spreading their vibrant colours and enchanting melodies. It was truly a magical experience to feel their soft feathers and see their curious eyes up close. The laughter and smiles were contagious as we all shared in the joy of this unique therapy session.

As Christmas is just around the corner and it is all about being thankful, caring and sharing! Shelburne Lodge would like to say a big Thank you to the High Wycombe Ambulance Service who had always looked after our residents and responded very promptly to our calls whenever they have been required. Our General Manager and Deputy Manager went to visit them to gift a Christmas Hamper to thank them for all their hard work and dedication.
Chocolate Treats
Here at Shelburne Lodge our residents have been busy making home made chocolate bars. Our residents included our colleagues who also had a sweet tooth! Did you know that the process of chocolate making from the tree to a chocolate bar can be broken down into seven basic steps: harvest, fermentation, drying, roasting, winnowing, refining, and tempering.
Once the chocolate bars were set we shared the chocolate bars around the home and all residents, friends and families enjoyed it!
