Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
Book Day!
Wycombe combined school popped in with children and their teachers, dressed as their favourite characters from their favourite books.
The children showed residents their books and then visited those who couldn’t attend the event in the lounge in the residents' rooms.
The residents and staff were in awe at the knowledge and the confidence of the children as they were so proud to share their excitement.
We then shared our healthy eating with a choice of fruit for their mid-morning break to say thank you for sharing with our residents.
International Pizza Day!
We had a fantastic time last week celebrating International Pizza Day with a fun-filled session of bingo and a quiz!
Our residents enjoyed delicious pizza while testing their knowledge and luck.
Laughter, great food, and friendly competition made for a perfect day!
Valentine's Day Celebrations!
Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating Valentine's Day in our home! The home looked absolutely stunning with all the beautiful decorations. It was a day full of love, laughter, and great memories!
Spending this Valentine's Day surrounded by great friends, good vibes, and live music in the comfort of our home. That is all our residents wanted! Here's to love, laughter, and unforgettable memories!
Performing Pets
Last week at Shelburne Lodge Care Home, Shelburne Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare, we had the joy of welcoming a bunch of lovely rabbits!
These amazing little rabbits brought smiles and laughter to our residents and staff members. The joy on their faces was truly heart-warming!

Elvis' 90th Birthday!
What a fantastic week it has been at Shelburne Lodge as we celebrated the King of Rock 'n' Roll's 90th birthday in style!
The incredible Gary Roman took us back in time, performing some of Elvis' most iconic hits and keeping the spirit of the King alive. From "Jail House Rock" to "Suspicious Minds," it was a night filled with music, dancing, and unforgettable memories!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this special celebration. Your energy made the event even more memorable. Here's to keeping the legend of Elvis alive!
National Activity Providers & Professionals Week
It is National Activity Providers week, and we would like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank our wonderful Life Enrichment and Activity Lead, Helen, for all the fun and laughter she brings to the home.
We are proud of the unique, inventive activities and meaningful moments she brings to our residents every single day. Helen is always going above and beyond her role and for this we are truly grateful.
As part of the week, Helen has been taking part in a whole host of events provided by NAPA, connecting and sharing ideas with teams across the country. Helen was presented with a Certificate by our General Manager, Diana, and a beautiful flower bouquet and cake from her colleagues and residents!
