Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
Long Service Award
Our Maintenance Assistant at the Shelburne Lodge, in High Wycombe has received a prestigious 20 Year Service Award in celebration of working at Barchester Healthcare. Andrew started working at Barchester in 2003 and has worked with our residents and their relatives to ensure that their needs have been met over the years. Diana Nica, General Manager of Shelburne Lodge said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 20 years of loyal service with Andrew. He has demonstrated his dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year.
Remembrance Day 2023
Last week our Residents and staff at Shelburne Lodge paid tribute to the brave men, women and animals that fought in/contributed to the war effort. Without them who knows where we would be today. For many residents at Shelburne Lodge this is a very poignant day as many loved ones were lost during the war. We marked the day with the traditional 2 minutes of silence where we reflected on those who were lost along the way. We also shared heart warming stories around a warm pot of tea and fresh biscuits from our Chef. Later in the week our residents made a lovely Poppy Wreath where residents then went and put it on the War memorial in High Wycombe.
Movement and Meditation
Residents at Shelburne lodge attended this weeks armchair yoga sessions, hosted by Yoga teacher Julie. This is one of our favourite activities. Julie guided us through a relaxing session of mindfulness and movement. Have you wanted to try yoga? Why not join us for our next session. Give us a call to book your place.
Furry Friends
Meet our new little fluffy friends - 9 week old lovely kittens that came out to meet our residents and staff members. Lots of smiles and cuddles were had last week when these adventurous and playful kittens came to visit us at the home which everyone absolutely adored and loved. Thank you Performing Pets for bringing these fur babies in to see us!
Double Birthday Celebrations
A very Happy Birthday to our two of our dearest residents here at Shelburne Lodge.
Both of our residents were very happy celebrating with family and colleagues here at Shelburne Lodge. The residents were both extremely grateful for the homemade birthday cakes our Chef had been busy creating for the dual celebration!
Creepy Cocktail Party
Did we tell you that we are a very talented bunch of people here at Shelburne Lodge? Stefanos, who is one of the care support team at Shelburne lodge has also got the skills of a very talented bartender. Our residents enjoyed the cocktail making class and enjoyed sampling the drinks even more!
