Activities at Snowdrop Place Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Snowdrop Place Care Home

Lobster with a glass of Rose. A wish come true!
One of our residents, Joan, here at Snowdrop Place had always holidayed in Jersey with her husband and with her family. They married and had children, with son Andrew finally residing on the Island with his wife. While on their holidays it became a family tradition to always have a Lobster meal, be it by the sea or in a fancy restaurant, always followed with an ice cream.
Our activities coordinator Gemma, first found out about Joan's wish when she came across a photo on Facebook of Joan & her son enjoying Lobster & a glass of Rose with a note that read “Mum would love to do this again – Lobster & Rose on the beach in Jersey”.
Joan and her family were delighted at the wonderful surprise! There were tears of joy from everyone. What a special day, we were so glad to be part of this with Joan.

Snowdrop's Summer Fete
What a fabulous day we all had at our Summer fete. Thank you to everyone that came along and supported us.
Thank you to all our stall holders Cabana Bakery Waterside Glass Sensational Treats Pear Tree Cottage Preserves for attending and donating to the raffle, to New Music Makers (local vocal) for entertaining our residents, family, friends & visitor's and to Marucci's Ice Cream for coming along to make sure everyone had their icecream fix.
A special thanks to Andy & Jan from A & T Cooper for the beautiful fruit basket they donated to the raffle also.

A day at the Cricket!
What better way to spend a Wednesday than a day at the cricket? We want to say a huge Thank you to Utilita Bowl for the hospitality, it was amazing and the residents thoroughly enjoyed it.
We watched Hampshire v Derbyshire and it was an exciting day. We cant wait to take the residents back.

Retail Therapy!
Another fabulous visit from Linnies Fashions.
The residents love when Linda sets up shop for the afternoon. It's a great opportunity to browse the racks & treat themselves to something new.

National Ice Cream Day
We celebrated National Ice Cream day last week with a mobile Sundae trolley.
After planning our spectacular creations earlier in the week the activities team loaded up their ice cream trolley with ice cream, sauces, nuts, sprinkles & cherries and set off around the home delivering bowls of happiness.

Reading with the children
Our residents here at Snowdrop Place have such a heartwarming relationship with the students of Deer Park School.
They had a wonderful afternoon spent with the students who came over to read and discuss their favorite books with us!
