Activities at South Grange Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.
Gillian Conway
Gill has worked for South Grange since 1996. Gill's role in the home is ensuring our residents enjoy a fulfilling quality of life. The programme that Gill and her colleagues provide is stimulating, creative and varied.
Gill enjoys the time she spends with residents and families. The team welcomes any suggestions made by residents and family members in relation to activities.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at South Grange Care Home
Christmas Party at South Grange
Staff, residents and their families had a great afternoon at South Grange’s Christmas party. An afternoon full of music from our local musician, dancing, signing, nibbles and drinks. A great time had by all!
Christmas Raffle
Staff, family and friends donated a range of prizes to add to our Christmas raffle.
Residents, family and friends enjoyed attending our Christmas raffle this morning in the café accompanied with teas and coffees. Everyone was delighted with their winnings.
A Special Visit from Santa
South Grange care home had two special visitors, Santa and his elf. They came bearing Santa’s sleigh full of goodies for all of the residents. The goodies included, satsumas, chocolate lollies, mince pies, a selection of sweetie bags and crisps.
Donations for Dundee and Angus Foodbank
South Grange have been asking for donations from staff, families and friends, of food items for the Dundee and Angus foodbank. Our maintenance staff Paul, and Caitlin from activities, took up our donations which were very much appreciated. A big thankyou to all who donated.
Advent Calendars
South Grange's residents of the day all opened their special box in our advent calendars, each receiving a small gift on their special day.
Christmas Carols from local Nursery Children
Children from our local nursery came to sing Christmas carols and the residents took great delight joining in. The residents were delighted to receive handmade Christmas cards from the children. What a wonderful morning we had!
