Activities at South Grange Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at South Grange Care Home
Off to the Footy!
David one of our Seven Arches residents here at South Grange had the opportunity to go to Murrayfield in Edinburgh to see his two favourite football teams Rangers and Manchester United play each other. David supported both wearing his rangers football top and his Manchester United scarf and hat. What a wonderful day David had and said it was like a dream come true.

Celebrating ice-cream month
Residents celebrated ‘ice-cream month’ by hosting an afternoon of creating their own delicious ice cream sundaes. They used a variety of ingredients to make them look and taste amazing from strawberries, blueberries, millac gold whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate/strawberry/toffee sauce and to top it off some chocolate flakes.
Everyone agreed they were delicious!
Wimbledon special
We had a fun time following the annual Wimbledon tennis tournaments. We decorated our home with themed flags and banners, and our residents took part in our mini tennis championship.
Our tennis fans were delighted to watch the famous matches virtually from the comfort of their armchairs, whist we all celebrated the event with an afternoon tea party, along with delicious strawberries, cream treats and Pimm’s.
A lovely time was had by all.
Road Trip
Heading out and about on our mini-bus is a integral part of our varied life enrichment programme and our ladies - Betty, Stella and Margaret enjoyed an afternoon out in the bus having a tour of Dundee.
They had a lovely afternoon reminiscing about the 'good old days' as this took in the sights of Scotland’s fourth largest city.
Residents attend local art club
Residents, Joyce and Thelma were delighted to be invited back to our local art club in Broughty Ferry. On this occasion, Joyce did her own freestyle painting whilst Thelma used water colours to create her own landscape painting. They were pleased with the results.
