Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Zoe Grindley

Activities Coordinator

Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.

I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.

We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs

I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

Life at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

The amazing vocals of Harry Kersley

Another glorious afternoon with the amazing vocals of Harry Kersley. We also had a great time making the most of the acoustics in our amazing reception area. A chance for the whole building to hear his wonderful voice.

Crescendo School of Music classical concert

Thank you to the students from Crescendo School of Music, who treated our residents to an afternoon of classical music and singing.

It’s always lovely to have young talent here and giving these students an audience also helps with their confidence before taking their summer exams.

Wishing you all Good luck

A lovely afternoon celebrating the start of the Chelsea Flower Show

A lovely afternoon celebrating the start of the Chelsea Flower Show.

Residents had a fun filled day with Arts and crafts and making some beautiful flower themed greetings cards. They then enjoyed a beautiful floral themed cake decorated with fresh flowers, prepared by head chef Dan.

Marjorie was so delighted with the cake but said it was far to beautiful to eat!

We then enjoyed watching the flower show together on TV.

Dance Fever.

We had such a wonderful afternoon celebrating VE Day and residents were treated to some amazing live dancers in our beautiful Terrace Lounge.

So many people remember meeting their future wives and husbands at local dances and everyone enjoyed watching a variety of dance styles from the Waltz, Charleston, Cha Cha Cha and samba.

We even had some audience participation which was great fun!

Nurses Forum for International nurses day.

Southgate Beaumont was delighted to host the recent 9th Nurses Forum and we welcomed nurses from the local community, including the NHS and Adult Social Care.

It was a great honour to be joined by Louise Keane who is a Nurse Education Lead and Social care advisory Council lead.

She led this day with passion and training to celebrate the success and hard work of all our nurses.

We also took this opportunity to celebrate International Nurses Day and give thanks to all our amazing Nurses who work so tirelessly every single day.

We've achieved a perfect score on Carehome.co.uk

Staff and residents are delighted to reach their goal of a perfect overall score of 10 on the independent care home review website, carehome.co.uk.

Carehome.co.uk is often one of the first places people will look when searching for a care home for a loved one. It is independently run to ensure that all reviews are vetted and come from people who have genuine experience of the homes that they are reviewing.

General Manager Beatrice, said: “We are beyond thrilled to reach a perfect overall score of 10 on carehome.co.uk, it just goes to show what a credit to the home the team at Southgate Beaumont really are. I am so proud of each and every one of them for all of their hard work and dedication to the people they care for. We have a fantastic team here, I’m so lucky to work with such wonderful people and to have such lovely residents.”
