Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Zoe Grindley
Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.
I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.
Zoe has a passion for making strong connections with people and creating lasting memorable experiences.
My role here at Southgate Beaumont is to ensure our residents lives are packed full of enriching and interesting activity. We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs
I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

Happy Valentines Day.
A wonderful afternoon celebrating love and friendship no matter what our age!
With some delicious chocolate truffles, a fun filled Valentines themed Bingo and plenty of hugs all round.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Valentines Day

Classical performance by The Kyan Quartet.
A spectacular performance to liven up our Wednesday from the classical performers of Kyan Quartet.
Residents embarked on a musical journey through France, America and back to England, giving us a taste of musical styles from around the world.
It’s always a pleasure to see such young talent and residents really enjoyed their modern take in classical styles.
Thank you to Live Music Now who have sent some amazing musicians into our home.

Happy Burns Night!
Burns Night was a great success.
With the whisky flowing and a delicious lunch of Hagis, prepared by our chef Dan, we really enjoyed each others company.
We also had the pleasure of listening to Robert Byrnes poetry, sang beautifully by one of our residents.
Many thanks to everyone who came along.

Our monthly art lecture, all welcome.
Our first Art lecture of the year with Dr Mark Banting had a fantastic turnout.
These monthly lectures are open to all members of the community, as well as to our residents and are extremely popular.
It’s a wonderful way to connect socially, enjoy some light refreshments and gain an insight into some extraordinary artists.
The next event takes place on the 16th February exploring the work of Henri Matisse in Russia.
We hope to see you all there!

A very talented bunch
We are always encouraging our residents to join in with our activities.
Even if someone can’t do something, our sessions always seem to turn into a nice chat and some company for each other.
We really enjoyed this relaxed morning and everyone enjoyed having a go at drawing different objects.
We certainly have a very talented bunch of ladies!

Morris is truly magic!
Some people in this world just have a natural gift to entertain and Morris Tamir is one of those people.
He has been performing at Southgate Beaumont as well as many other Barchester care homes and hospitals for a number of years now.
His gift of singing in 44 languages makes him so unique and his absolute passion in what he does, brings so much joy to residents. Morris performs to both residents in the lounge and visits the bedrooms to perform for those who are nursed in bed, and never passes an opportunity to burst into song around the home.
He takes song requests and has given so much comfort, especially when people are extremely poorly.
We are so fortunate to have someone like Morris and he continues to perform tirelessly, with his heart every single time.
