Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.

Life at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

An autumnal morning trip out for tea.

On a fresh autumnal morning we enjoyed a spooky trip to the award winning Sunshine garden centre in Bounds green.

Residents enjoyed stocking up on colourful plants and pumpkins whilst also taking in the beautiful displays and flowers on show.

After a spot of shopping we headed to the cafe for some delicious cakes.

We even had an early birthday celebration for one of our ladies, who loved the candle in her toasted tea cake!

Yoga is the key to a very long life!

Today at Southgate Beaumont we had another fabulous Yoga class with the beautiful Dai. Dai brings the perfect balance of gentle chair yoga and mindfulness into our home and we always finish with a relaxing meditation, which makes everyone feel a sense of calm.

Today Dai was delighted to learn that one of her students was 103!

It shows it’s never too late to learn something new.

They then had a lovely chat together about gratitude.

Apparently Yoga is the key to a very long life!

A trip out to the golf club,

A glorious morning trip out in our mini bus to Grange Park Golf course.

Just a short journey from our home, its a perfect location to take in the stunning grounds and enjoy some delicious home made pastry’s.

All the ladies who came along used to all play golf, so it was lovely for them to reminisce and share stories in the sunshine.

The staff really looked after us and we will definitely be returning soon.
