Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Rebecca Harrowing
Hi my name is Rebecca, I started working at Tennyson Wharf in July 2024.
Previous to starting at Tennyson Wharf I have lived in many countries and worked as a supply teacher and administrator in Bahrain in the Middle East - I have also worked in scouting programme groups in both the USA and UK.
Whilst I have worked with children for a lot of my life, working with the elderly is always been something I have been passionate about. I believe that everybody has a story to tell and our residents life stories all add value to Tennyson Wharf.
Outside of work I enjoy walking, gardening and going to the cinema.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Macmillan Coffee Morning
So far, we've managed to raise around £120 for Macmillan Cancer Support with our coffee morning - and we're still counting!

Our wonderful Carer, Marek, is Tennyson Wharf's Employee of the Month for August. Well done, Marek, and thanks for all your dedication and hard work that has made this award well-deserved.

Sutton on Sea
Residents at Tennyson Wharf were treated to a lovely day out to Sutton on Sea.
Employee of the Month - June
Karen has done an amazing job with our gardens here at Tennyson Wharf and we are all very grateful for all her hard work. Well done and thank you, Karen!
Queen's Street Party
We celebrated the Queen's birthday with a street party inside due to the weather. We invited local musicians to entertain us and keep the party going.
