Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Paula Lourenco

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Paula and I’m the Activities coordinator at Tewkesbury Fields care home. I’ve joined Barchester healthcare in 2020.

As part of the lifestyle enrichment team, I will be organising daily activities, ensuring that residents have varied activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives, creating memories and be able to provide meaningful activities to each one of the residents living at Tewkesbury fields.

Life at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Blessed by Reverend Chris Moss

Our Home Services Advisor, Emma, was pleased to welcome Reverend Chris Moss to Tewkesbury Fields this morning. Chis kindly offered to lead services in the home and will support our residents when they arrive.

Chris took a moment to bless our care home, each room within it and all of the staff and residents health and safety. We cannot thank him enough for his ongoing support and guidance.

Chairman of Bushley Parish Council visits

We were so pleased to welcome Nigel Nicoll, chairman of Bushley Parish Council, into the marketing suite at Tewkesbury Fields. It was great to learn so much about the parish in which Tewkesbury Fields is situated and to discuss opportunities for our residents in the future. We are so grateful to be part of such a wonderful parish and cannot wait to get involved with upcoming events.

A Room With a View

Imagine this was the view you woke up to every morning, even in February it is beautiful. The sun has been streaming through the windows today and this view is from one of the newly refurbished bedrooms at Tewkesbury Fields. There is plenty of wildlife to watch and some striking birds of prey swooping past.

Historic Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury Fields is surrounded by countryside, yet a short drive to the historic medieval town. The home has always had strong links with the famous abbey and we look forward to visiting again with residents. The area has so many wonderful locations for trips out, including boat trips on the River Severn.

History of Tewkesbury Fields

These photographs are fascinating, they show the original farmhouse and the farm which Tewkesbury Fields care home was built on. The old farmhouse still forms part of the home today. The final photo shows the home with the further extension of the Cotswold Wing.  We are taking room reservations for this stunning luxury residential care home.

Tewkesbury Fields Re-design

Tewkesbury Fields has not only been refurbished, it has been re-deisgned. There are now fewer bedrooms, which means they are all now more spacious and all en-suite. Premium rooms offer that little bit extra including a fridge, coffee machine and large wet room, with many having direct access to a patio area. The home also has two spa bathrooms, these are designed to promote relaxation, with relaxing lighting options and a choice of music.
