Activities at Thistle Hill Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Thistle Hill Care Home

Bundle of Joy

Bundle of Joy

Memory Lane Carer, Katie Baines, brought her bundle of joy, Ralph Darwen, into the home to show off to staff and residents. Born 13th November 2018 at 7:06 a.m. in Harrogate Hospital, Ralph and Mummy are doing really well! A big congratulations from everyone at Thistle Hill.

Children in Need

The kitchen staff made some Pudsey cakes for Children in Need, and got into the spirit of things by dressing up. We also hosted a raffle and managed to raise £40 for a great cause.

,

Straight Shooters

Residents enjoyed an archery session recently. Everyone who participated had a lot of fun!

Halloween Fireworks

Halloween Fireworks

We dressed up for Halloween and hosted our very own fireworks display. Staff went all out with their fancy dress costumes and had lots of fan with face painting. We had a fun-packed day decorating the home, baking themed biscuits and cooking.

,

Pumpkin Carving

Residents and loved ones enjoyed carving some pumpkins in preparation for Halloween.
