Activities at Tixover House Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.

I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives.  My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Summer Fete Fun

What a fantastic turn out we had today! Everyone at Tixover House would like to thank all our guests for coming out to join in the fun and celebrate such a lovely place to live at our Summer Fete.

With wonderful music, food and stalls we had plenty to keep us all busy! The weather stayed fine and it was smiles all round.

Summer Crafts and Scrapbooking

We have been scrapbooking, with today's theme being all about farming. Our residents enjoyed doing this activity so much we are going to continue making scrapbooks as it helps with reminiscence and gets everyone talking about previous hobbies and passions.

In the afternoon we enjoyed a round of balloon tennis and crafting before Film Club with ice-lollies and popcorn.

National Bakewell Tart Day

Today we were joined by our head chef Tony as he supported us in making the most delicious Bakewell Tart ever!
