Activities at Tixover House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Caroline Geddes
Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.
I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives. My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Life at Tixover House Care Home
A visit from Stamford School
The residents of Tixover spent an afternoon pebble painting with the help of the boys from Stamford School. They also both enjoyed the chatting, with laughter coming from both residents and the Stamford boys, a lovely afternoon!
This was then followed by afternoon tea which the boys loved! They have already asked if they can come and show of some artistry skills to our residents.
Harvest Festival
Our Harvest Festival celebration was held on the Monday 2nd October, after holy communion with the Padre who blessed the food and the home.
The staff from Evergreen also attended to receive the offering of the food donated by loved ones and staff member.
Evergreen Care Trust seeks to promote healthy attitudes towards growing older and to find appropriate ways to honour and support members of the community in times of need and vulnerability.
Tixover House are now in partnership with the charity!
Tixover's Got Talent
On Friday 29th September, we were joined by Gavin Burke, a local singer, loved by all residents because of his beautiful voice. He sang classic songs, as well as contemporary ones, and had both residents and staff toe-tapping to all his tunes.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Residents and staff members enjoyed a wonderful morning indulging in coffee and cakes.
We raised approximately £150 for this great cause; well done to all staff, residents and loved ones for all the support given, and for joining in with the balloon games.
It truly was a fantastic day!
Coffee Morning Preparations
At Tixover House, we are getting ready for the Macmillan Coffee Morning on 29th September.
Even residents are helping to make this a wonderful occasion; the ladies had a wonderful time making cakes and even ate a few cakes to make sure they were all okay for this event.
Party Amimals
On 12th September, residents, loved ones and staff members had a lovely afternoon spending time with some beautiful animals that had been brought into the home.
