Activities at Tixover House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Caroline Geddes
Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.
I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives. My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Flower Arranging
Flower arranging is one of our daily activities and always helps to bring a bit of colour into the home.
Sitdance with Marcel
Marcel Baaijens travels all over the world to teach Activities Coordinators the 'sitdance' routines to help residents with mobility. Tixover House invited coordinators from the local area to join us so they can introduce the routine to their respective homes. It was a very enjoyable and interesting afternoon.
Out & About with Chater
Folks from both Tixover House and Chater Lodger enjoyed a beautiful day out to the park, with tea and ice cream as a cherry on the cake!
Cheese & Wine Evening
It was a really great turn out for our cheese and wine evening. This event was hosted to celebrate the opening of our Finehades lounge, and we welcomed wonderful guest speakers from Evergreen Care Trust.
Rutland Waters
Tixover House and Chater Lodge together took residents on a boat trip around Rutland waters. We were lucky with the weather; it was a fantastic day with lots of tea and ice cream for all, and was followed by a good old singalong on the way home.
10 Years of Service
