Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hi, My name is Bibesh Shrestha, Activity Coordinator
Having more than 10 years of professional experience in multiple sectors at different places have given me the confidence to get involved in any challenging environment where my skills and experience will be instrumental in achieving personal and social goals.
Being a motivator and influencer to the people around me has always been my passion, and also part of my profession. As an Activity Coordinator, my ultimate goal is to transfer my energy and spread my happiness.
Being active and full of energy with humbleness is what defines me and transferring that energy to the people around me has been my prime interest.

Life at Trinity Manor Care Home
Going to the Chapel...
We had THE best day here at Trinity Manor recently, as we conducted our very first wedding...
Never in a million years did we think we would ever be hosting such a thing, but when the daughter of one of our residents, recently tied the knot, we decided to work her, to get her mum involved too... so we set about hatching a very cunning plan!
Invites were sent to all the residents, the menu planned & order of services sorted in time for the big day.
Having married last week, Jackie and her new husband Keith, today had a beautiful second ceremony up on our Memory Lane community, surrounded by some very happy & emotional residents.
All dressed up extra special in their wedding wardrobe, Jackie was walked down the aisle by her lovely mum, Audrey, into the arms of the awaiting groom, Keith. Then following a small ceremony officiated by Home Services Advisor, Rebekah, which included a poem read by another resident, Pauline and songs; 'Daisy, Daisy' and 'When I'm 64', they finally said 'I do!' again before walking down the aisle, being showered with confetti by all!
What a joy it has been for EVERYONE to be a part of this very special day, but especially for Audrey too!

Re-use, Recycle!
We like to think that as a home we do our little bit for the planet here in the home, so at Trinity Manor recently, Activities Co-ordinator, Laura and resident Sheila, busied themselves doing their little bit too...
They spent some time sorting through old Christmas cards, that were collected at the end of last year's festivities, so that they might try and re-use some of them for labels on gifts, or to cut pieces of them out to re-stick on some newly made cards for upcoming seasonal crafting afternoons.
What a great job you have done - Well done, ladies!
Maradonna Moves!
With the world cup matches now well under way, everyone here in the home is getting well into the spirits of things, not only watching the matches on the cinema screen here in the home, but even playing a little bit of the 'beautiful game' for themselves...
Whilst each sat in a wonderfully comfortable chair, our residents got really competitive as they fought for possession of the ball, as they played a little seated football in our lounge.
There may have been one or two illegal 'hand of God' moves going on, but then it wouldn't be a world cup match without a little controversy, now would it?

This is someone with an exceptional work ethic and is truly a fantastic carer. We have been thrilled to welcome Ligy into the Trinity Manor family a few months ago and she has really become a fabulous addition to our team. Ligy cannot do enough for anyone and works incredibly hard, each and every shift, to ensure that she is doing her utmost to ensure those for whom she cares are very well taken care of indeed. Ligy is not also a great support to others in her team, but also to the families & friends of the home too. Keeping her calm in every situation, Ligy is definitely someone we should all aspire to be more like.
Thank you, Ligy, for your hard work and passion for the job - It has clearly not go unnoticed!

A Familiar Face!
How wonderful it was to see friend of the home, Jo Maidment, today, as she stopped by the home to not only visit with one of our residents, but also she delivered some special gifts...
We originally met Jo in the capacity of one of the members of The Soroptimists from Yeovil, Sherborne & district group, who kindly donated a tree to be planted in our garden last year, in recognition of their 100th anniversary and she has been since been a visitor to see some of our residents who she befriended.
Jo very kindly brought with her to our home, some wonderful handmade twiddle blankets for some of our Memory Lane residents to enjoy, made by residents from other care facilities locally and finished off with the twiddle bits by one of her fellow Soroptimists.
Thank you, Jo, what a kind gift - Our residents will love them!

Our Friends are Back!
It's always such a wonderful atmosphere when our lovely friends from Leweston School come for a visit...
Recently our lounge was a hive of activity and chatter as residents and students enjoyed a good old fashioned natter, really getting to know one another - Where they are from, what they are studying, hobbies and interests and more.
Thank you everyone for a very enjoyable session.
We look forward to next time when we kick off the Christmas season & celebrate Barchester Healthcare being 30 years old!
