Here at The Wingfield our activities team provide a varied and interesting range of activities for all residents. We are registered with the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and we take pride in delivering activities that will enhance residents lives and bring happiness and a sense of purpose. Our cooking activities are very popular, as well as the regular book clubs, coffee mornings, skittle matches and bus trips. We provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend activities and we have tea dances, musicians, quizzes, music and movement, as well as our giant scrabble board! But most importantly we have fun! Relatives are always welcome and there is always much laughter and smiling faces during our activities. We take pride in what we do and we continually strive to enhance residents lives through meaningful activity.

Life at The Wingfield Care Home
Unusual Visitors!
The Wingfield had some very unusual visitors today, including a snake, tortoise and bugs! Resients greaatly enoyed meeting the exotic creatures and learning all about them. What an interesting afternoon and another different day at The Wingfield!
A Right Royal Celebration
What a wonderful day we all had at The Wingfield celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III, the day started with a session from Jenny’s Move it or Lose it. What a great start to the day with some dancing and flag waving!
Residents, staff and families then enjoyed watching the service and pageantry in Westminster Abbey followed by the parade. It was very special to watch this momentous occasion, with many of our residents having watched Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation they could talk about the traditions and also how things have changed.

Ronnie & Reggie Visit The Wingfield!
The Wingfield had some very special visitors from Chloe’s Mobile Farm lambs, Ronnie and Reggie, Norman the donkey and very cute rabbits.
Ronnie and Reggie confidently walked around the home meeting residents, staff and visitors alike. They are Greyfaced Dartmoor sheep, a rare breed who have the most amazing tight curly coat. Residents were delighted to meet all the animals. Norman is incredible, donkeys have a natural calm temperament, and the therapy donkeys are specially selected and trained to go inside even meeting residents in their beds. Thank you so much for visiting Wingfield.
