Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

VE Day Celebrations

Badgeworth Court residents really enjoyed a performance by Melissa Hollick to celebrate 77 years since VE Day.  Melissa sang a range of songs from the era with everyone singing along and dancing to the well-known tunes. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

Joana, the Activities Coordinator also arranged for vintage and war time items from The Wilson, Cheltenham’s art gallery and museum for residents to look at.  Thank you so much for the loan of these items.  Residents shared their own memories, Anne one of our residents said: "I remember being in the street with my parents with flags to celebrate the Victory in Europe".

Visit to Barchester Tewkesbury Fields

Badgeworth residents had a lovely afternoon at Barchester Tewkesbury Fields Care Home who kindly invited us for afternoon tea.  Tewkesbury Fields has recently re-opened after being refurbished.  It was wonderful to meet residents and staff from other Barchester Healthcare care homes. We all enjoyed delicious cakes and sandwiches made by the home's chef.  Everyone agreed, how gorgeous the home looks.  Thank you all for the invite, and hospitality we look forward to visiting again!
