Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Life at Badgeworth Court Care Home

Cooking Club at Badgeworth Court

This week, our residents got involved in an amazing Portuguese-themed baking session, organised by our home’s Activities Coordinator.

The experience was truly enjoyed by all and everyone made yummy Portuguese tarts. It was lovely to find out more about the traditions in Portugal too.

Pet Therapy Dog

We are so pleased to announce that we have a new lovely pet therapy dog visiting Badgeworth Court.

Elsie, a Cocker Spaniel, brings smiles and laughter to our residents, supported by her volunteer Han.

Thank you for this lovey visit.

Diwali Celebrations

Here at Badgeworth Court we celebrated Diwali in style!

In the morning, our Activities Coordinator organised an Armchair Travel: where residents were able to travel virtually to Nepal and India from the comfort of our tea room.

Also, our staff from Nepal and India prepared for us lovely surprises – a fantastic traditional dance and a show with authentic costumes.

We all enjoyed themed treats and snacks, prepared by our talented chef.

It was a lovely cultural experience!

Our residents said “It was a special day, a big thank you to all the staff who organised this wonderful experience for us. It was brilliant!”

Farm Day at Badgeworth

On Saturday our Hospitality Time organised a Farm Day with Fox and Magpie Farm. It was a lovely therapy morning, where our residents had the opportunity to meet farm animals, such as sheep, chickens and a friendly horse. Our special morning was enjoyed by all: residents, families, friends and community members. There was a variety of sweet and savoury treats, cakes and refreshing drinks, prepared by our talented chef. We all had a fantastic time.

Boat Trip

What a gorgeous day we had relaxing on the water with the Willow trust on their accessible boat.  Run by  volunteers, we all had an amazing time on the boat. The weather was just perfect and everyone enjoyed a picnic, the fresh air and relaxing watching the wildlife and beauty of the waterside. Residents commented that it was like having a holiday! Everyone had a go at being captain by driving the boat, Terence said: “It is the best trip we have had, a great experience, it is so appreciated, I would like to come again!” Badgeworth Court would like to say thank you to the  volunteers were so kind and caring during the whole trip.  You are fantastic and we are looking forward to next year already!
