Activities at Beeston View Memory Lane Community
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Luisa Painemilla
Hi there, I'm Luisa, Activities Co-ordinator at Iddenshall Hall.
I have worked with the elderly over 8 years and also for fifteen years in the social field as an Activities Coordinator for different social groups in three countries. I have a Degree in Social Integration, a Certificate in Theatrical Psychology and a Music Therapy certificate. In the past I have worked for local authorities and in a cerebral palsy home.
My work is very rewarding and it is a pleasure planning events and activities each month. I enjoy interacting with Residents and learning about their interests, preferences and experiences.
Look out for our activities and events - you are welcome to join us!

Artists at Work
Residents at Beeston View have been creating some lovely flower wreaths. Our Activities Coordinator, Lucy, has been helping them to cut out the flowers from multi-coloured paper and assisting them in building the wreaths so that they can be displayed for everyone to see.
Our Divisional Winner
Our Senior Activities Coordinator, Lynne Loughlin, was named as the Divisional Winner for Activities Coordinator of the Year in the 2018 Barchester Care Awards. She will be attending the finals on 11th October in Manchester, along with our General Manager, Suzanne Owen, and Unit Manager, Angela Bourke. Lynne will find out on the day if she is the National Winner, so please join us in wishing her good luck!
Tarporley Trip
We took another trip in to Tarporley Village recently. Residents love getting involved with the local community and meeting new people whilst we are out and about.
Ride Exercises
We have started having monthly exercise sessions from Andy, who runs a company called 'Ride'. He stops by to see residents at both Beeston View and Iddenshall Hall during his visit, and does a 40 minute session with each.
Residents really enjoy his sessions; he has them doing many different types of exercises, but their favourite seems to be the boxing, which always goes down a treat.
Andy has a way of engaging lots of residents at one time and encouraging them all to join in with both humour and compassion.
Pet Therapy
We are delighted to have a new pet therapy dog at Beeston View. Anya and her mum, Bonnie, visited us for their first time recently and everyone loved meeting them. They will be visiting once a week on a Friday afternoon moving forward.
Tarporley Village
We took a trip into Tarporley Village with some residents. We had a lovely stroll, had a look around the church and did some window shopping. We popped in to see Gaynor at The Flower Shop and we even bumped into some relatives that we all knew. It was lovely to be out in the local community, getting to know new people.
