Activities at Brampton View Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Emma Robinson

Activities Lead

My name is Emma. I am the Activities Lead here at Brampton View. I joined the home in 2023 and I bring lots of new and exciting ideas to the role.

Having worked in the role before I am passionate about bringing a smile to all our residents faces and ensuring they make the most of their time here with us.

If you would like to come and chat with me about your family member then please contact the home to arrange this.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Brampton View Care Home

Christmas jumper day

Staff and residents at Brampton View dressed in their Christmas jumpers, dresses and tshirts to raise money for Save the Children. Charlie and Regina, two of the home's dining hosts, love serving residents in the beautifully decorated dining room at this special time. This morning residents enjoyed festive music for their daily exercises.

Wear it Pink Day

At Brampton View we like to support community events, especially for charities that are close to our hearts. On 23rd October we took part in Wear it Pink Day and had a pink raffle to raise funds for the charity Breast Cancer Now. Staff members Sam, Jenny and many others were pleased to take part, and Linda won the raffle. Residents were involved too by taking part in our pink quiz and enjoying pink cupcakes for afternoon tea.

Harvest Festival Competition

We are very proud of our entry into the Barchester Harvest Festival Competition. The Brampton View Memory Lane community made salt dough and shaped it into seasonal vegetables and fruits which were baked to make them go hard. Pat and friends painted them to make them realistic and arranged them in a basket. They looked good enough to eat and a local scarecrow was impressed too!

,

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Residents and staff at Brampton View held a Macmillan Coffee Morning and raised £50 for the Macmillan charity to support their good work. Marjorie, Pat and other residents were served delicious cupcakes, slices of sandwich cake and scones, all prepared by the Brampton View kitchen team. A lovely morning was had by all, enjoying friendly conversation together.

,

Baking cakes to share

Pat enjoyed taking part in the Brampton View baking activity today, making carrot cake muffins to share with fellow residents for afternoon tea.

,

Notting Hill Carnival

On Friday 28th August we held our own Notting Hill Carnival. We listened to carnival music, danced, and watched clips of previous carnivals on the TV. We enjoyed some party mocktails, and Mandy and Elizabeth had fun trying on carnival costumes.
