Activities at Brampton View Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Brampton View Care Home

Swimming with dolphins

Thank you to Rebecca from VR Therapies who brought their virtual reality headsets to Brampton View for residents to enjoy swimming with dolphins and walking with the big five on the African plains. Residents who were nervous eventually gave it a try with some encouragement, and they all said how wonderful it was. We have booked Rebecca to come back every month.

Photographic memories

We love to hear about residents' lives during our one-to-one activity sessions. Photos provide some of the best stories of families, friends and life experiences. We see beautiful pictures of people, weddings, royal encounters and lots of other special occasions.

A stroll in the garden

Brampton View is great for 'doing a lap' to keep fit, and on these hot days it's nice to find a shady spot too.

Playtime

The nursery children visited Brampton View and showed us what they have been learning recently. They are very cute and their antics always make us laugh.

The sweetest little ponies

We were all entranced by the gentlest little ponies when they visited Brampton View and wandered around greeting everyone.

Working those shoulders

Bob the Osteopath was at Brampton View on Friday for his weekly sessions to keep our joints moving smoothly. We all feel better afterwards.
