Activities at Brampton View Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Brampton View Care Home
Baking club's delicious sausage rolls
David enjoys the delicious, hot, crispy sausage rolls made by fellow residents at Brampton View in the regular Baking Club session. Simple activities are often the most popular and bring back happy memories of home baking, favourite recipes and family life.
Lemon Drizzle Cakes
Ladies in our Memory Lane community made lovely lemon drizzle cupcakes today. The smell of fresh lemons and home baking wafted deliciously around Brampton View as residents talked about favourite recipes they used to make when their children were young. Afterwards they enjoyed the still-warm cakes with their afternoon tea.
A fun baking session
Residents from the Brampton View dementia community loved their baking session with Di today. They made sausage, cheese and onion pinwheels and enjoyed spreading the filling and rolling the pastry. We talked about our favourite party food and the things we used to bake with our children and grandchildren. The end results were delicious!
Joy receives a celebration visit
Joy was delighted to have a visit from her daughter and granddaughter on her 90th birthday. The comfortable, Covid-safe visiting suite at Brampton View is used several times a day and we love a special celebration visit.
A Magic Table at Brampton VIew
Brampton View is delighted to have bought a Magic Table to enhance our activities programme. A Magic Table is a projector that can be used on a table, floor, walls or any plain, flat surface. It comes with lots of interactive games for people of all cognitive ability. Everyone can use it but it is particularly beneficial for people with dementia as it raises feelings of happiness and reduces levels of anxiety. Residents are having fun getting to know how it works and staff are enjoying it too, including playing snakes and ladders.
Pancake Day was flippin' fun
This year Residents at Brampton View enjoyed mini-pancakes with toppings including fruit, chocolate and traditional lemon and sugar. Len and other residents tried flipping some with Head Chef Ian and Kitchen Assistant Steve.
