Activities at Brampton View Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Emma Robinson

Activities Lead

My name is Emma. I am the Activities Lead here at Brampton View. I joined the home in 2023 and I bring lots of new and exciting ideas to the role.

Having worked in the role before I am passionate about bringing a smile to all our residents faces and ensuring they make the most of their time here with us.

If you would like to come and chat with me about your family member then please contact the home to arrange this.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Brampton View Care Home

Meet our Kitchen Team

Head Chef, Ian, and his team prepare delicious food to meet every resident’s nutritional needs, dietary preferences and swallowing ability. Ian (left) designs the menus and manages the kitchen team. Regina (centre) is one of our Dining Hosts, serving meals and assisting people with eating if required, to make sure they eat enough. Steve (right) is one of our Kitchen Assistants - he and the rest of the team chop, mix and cook plenty of food for everyone.

Joy gives thanks for her Covid vaccination

Joy is full of optimism now she and other residents at Brampton View have had their first Covid vaccinations. Joy has understandably been rather sad that she hasn’t been able to hug her daughters, and has also been worried about family and friends with their own health issues. However, she received her vaccination with no problems and is now full of hope that the national vaccination programme means she will see more of her family before long. Joy told us that she is thankful she lives at Brampton View where residents have remained Covid-free throughout the pandemic. She always appreciates the care she receives from the Brampton View team and added, “Christmas this year was very different, but staff and residents still made it lovely”.

Amanda celebrates ten years at Brampton View

Thank you to Amanda, one of the fantastic Senior Care Assistants at Brampton View. Amanda has just completed 10 years’ service at our home was presented with a large bouquet of flowers and her gold Barchester service pin as a show of our appreciation. Amanda works mainly with residents in Brampton View’s dementia community where she has wonderful rapport with residents and their families. She is always smiling and positive, and we all enjoy working with her.

Gifts galore this Christmas

Every resident at Brampton View received a specially chosen present from under our beautiful Christmas tree.

A pre-Christmas hairdo

Joy enjoyed a wash and trim with hairdresser when Sarah returned to Brampton View for a couple of weeks just in time for Christmas. Residents were delighted to see Sarah again and felt refreshed with their new looks.

Christmas greetings from local young people

Brampton View has received kind and beautiful greetings from young members of the local community. Pat has enjoyed looking through the hand-crafted Christmas cards from 34th Kingsthorpe Cubs. She has also been admiring little booklets of heart-shaped drawings and inspiring words from pupils at Kingsthorpe Grove Primary School, which we have now turned into seasonal bunting. Thank you for thinking of us - you have made our home look even more festive. Happy Christmas everyone!
