Activities at Cadbury Hall Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hannah Lewis

Activities Co Ordinator

Hi, my name is Hannah and I am the Activities Coordinator at Cadbury Hall.

I studied ‘Creative Expressive Arts, Health and Wellbeing’ at university and am passionate about using the arts to aid people’s social, physical, and mental wellbeing. In my spare time I love to dance, sing, and act, and help to run a local drama group for children aged 10-18.

With the support of all staff at Cadbury Hall and feedback from residents, we aim for a varied and person-centred activity schedule to help the residents lead rich and fulfilling lives. The best part of my day is seeing the residents get stuck in with the activities and looking at the smiles on their faces.

YACWAG is a local group, Yatton and Congesbury Wildlife Action Group who set up the Window Wanderland with this year's theme, British birds. With windows all around the home we had the themes of night and day as well as wetlands to celebrate the wetlands close to the home.

Cadbury Hall were delighted to welcome our first guests to Don't Dine Alone. Every Friday older residents in the community can join the Cadbury Hall Residents for lunch and stay for our Knit and Natter. You don't have to knit, but nattering is essential!

It was such a sociable afternoon enjoyed by all who attended including Rupert the dog who is making himself very at home and getting to know everyone.

Tai Chi Classes at Cadbury Hall

Thursday afternoon Tai Chi is popular with residents and visitors alike. It is excellent for focussing on breathing and the gentle movement improves flexibility.  We also always have a chat over a cup of tea and cake after!
