Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hello. my name is Anita, I have worked at Cepen Lodge for 5 years, I started as a Senior Care Assistant and now I am the Activities Coordinator which I really enjoy, I love the interaction with our residents and making their days enjoyable. I am always thinking of new activities and events, and ways to engage with our local community for our residents benefit. Cepen Lodge is a great team that I am proud to be a part of.

Christmas Cake Competition
Festive Bakes at Cepen Lodge
Our residents have put their Chefs hats on this week as we entered Barchester Healthcare annual Christmas Cake competition.
With the Christmas music playing it was a fun filled afternoon of laughter and memories. Our staff and residents reminisced about their own Christmas baking traditions, such as home made mince pies, yule logs and the classic Christmas pudding!
Thank you to all the residents and staff for creating this brilliant masterpiece, I'm sure we all agree that it really does look good enough to eat.
Alpaca Therapy
We had some special guests visit us at Cepen Lodge.
Say hello to Renegade and Sweetheart, 2 beautiful alpacas from Lane House Alpacas/ Alpaca Walking.
Our wonderful residents enjoyed the afternoon of fluffy coats and wet noses. Renegade and Sweetheart are so kind natured that this allowed our residents to not only enjoy Alpaca cuddles, but also learn more around these marvellous animals.
We cant wait for the next visit!
Whitehall Christmas Lights
We are definitely getting into the Christmas Spirt here at Cepen Lodge.
Some of our wonderful residents took a trip to the local garden centre Whitehall, to see their beautiful Christmas display.
As you can see from the photos, our residents had a magical afternoon which of course had to be topped off with Coffee and Cake.
Thanks Whitehall Garden Centre for the inspiration,We are already thinking of how we can make our home a magical winter wonderland!
Birthday Celebration!
Some of our lovely residents had a trip to the local pub this week.
It was a very special birthday for one of our wonderful residents, Jean, who turned 92 this week.
Our residents enjoyed a lovely meal out along with a Gin or two.
Pink Gin and Cake, what a great combination.

A Visit From G Fitness!
Our residents always enjoy their mornings when we have a visit from G Fitness!
Its always a productive morning with G-Fitness who teaches us exercises which helps our residents to keep fit and healthy.
At Cepen Lodge we understand that keeping fit is not only good for our physical health but our mental health too.
Thank you to G Fitness for always providing our residents with the support and tools that they need.
We cant wait for the next session.
Halloween Celebration
A huge thank you to the Morrisons Community Champion for donating flowers and pumpkins to our home. Our residents spent the weekend getting creative with carving pumpkin centrepieces ready for our Halloween fancy dress party. We all had a fantastic spooky end to the month!
