Activities at Cepen Lodge Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Cepen Lodge's Easter Bunny Visits Local Respite Children's Home

Cepen Lodge's Easter Bunny, managers and residents went to visit the children at Canon’s House Children’s Respite Home in Devizes and deliver some Easter hampers!  Our residents even got to meet 2 ponies whilst there! We all had a lovely time meeting the staff and children at the home and hearing all about the amazing work they do. We look forward to visiting again soon, and welcoming you all to Cepen Lodge.

Easter Fair Fun!

Everyone had a wonderful time at Cepen Lodge’s Easter Fete.  It was a fun packed afternoon for residents, families, friends and visitors and it was wonderful to see everyone.  There was a variety of stalls including our Easter tombola, Body Shop, lots of cakes and a bar!  The sun was out so it was great to enjoy our gardens for the first time this year.

Today Ronnie and Reggie visited Cepen Lodge!

Ronnie and Reggie are possibly the most adorable and cutest lambs you could ever meet, thank you to Chloe's Mobile Farm for bringing in our very special spring visitors. At 5 weeks old they are absolute bundles of joy. They are Greyfaced Dartmoor sheep, a rare breed who have the most amazing tight curly coat.

Ronnie and Reggie confidently walked around the home and were very happy to spend time with residents in the lounges and in their rooms as well as being very happy to be cuddled. There are so very special photos to enjoy we thought we would share them all!

Anita continued the spring theme with the start of our run up to Easter fun with a buffett tea on Memory Lane. The dining room was beautifully decorated with music playing to add to the atmosphere. Another wonderful afternoon at Cepen Lodge.

Local Police Officers Visit Retired Officers

Thank you so much to local police officers Lewis and Dan from Wiltshire Police for visiting Cepen Lodge today. They spent time with resident Keith who was a Chief Inspector and Janet who worked for Special Branch. Janet showed them photographs of her when she was in the police and talked about some of her experiences. It was great to see current officers chatting with their predecessors about their time in the force. Resident Tony also presented Lewis and Dan with one of his famous paintings. It was such an enjoyable visit for all and so appreciated by the residents.
