Activities at Chacombe Park Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

We had a lovely afternoon celebrating National Storytelling Week with Chacombe Primary School. The kids all brought their favourite books and spent the afternoon with residents reading together.

Intergenerational Fun

Intergenerational Fun

The pupils from Chacombe Primary School brought along some new games that Father Christmas had given them, and taught residents how to play. It was a lot of fun!

Scrabble Challenge

Scrabble Challenge

Scrabble is a favourite in our home! Residents love to have a game most weeks, and come up with some rather unusual words. The Scrabble dictionary definitely comes out more often than not.

Fruity Friday

Fruity Friday

Residents enjoyed a Fruity Friday with a few treats from the chocolate fountain. This was a really unique way to enjoy fruit – and residents loved it!

New Year Celebrations

We kicked of the New Year with an afternoon of games, cocktails and mocktails. The left and right game had everyone wondering which direction to turn!
