Activities at Chater Lodge Care Home

The Chater Lodge Care Home in Ketton joyfully welcomed the Stamford Fire Brigade for 'Coffee with a Firefighter'. 

Residents, their families, and staff were thrilled to meet and express their gratitude to the courageous firefighters over a well-earned cup of coffee and tasty treats.

The day's standout moment was when residents had the opportunity to inspect the Fire Engine closely, learning about the equipment the fire personnel use and its role in the life-saving efforts of the brigade.

Our residents gathered for an enjoyable afternoon of socializing during a beer and wine tasting event. 

A variety of local ales and wines were available for sampling and discussion. 

The red wines were particularly enjoyed alongside smoky cheese flavoured  biscuits and delectable chocolate cake. The event was a resounding success, culminating in an entertaining quiz provided by our friends at Oomph Wellness.

Residents across our services had a fantastic time enjoying the virtual screening of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. Frank Spencer’s comical misadventures had everyone laughing and it was wonderful to see so many happy faces. 

Thank you to everyone who joined us and a special thanks to The Barn Theatre in the Cotswolds for bringing this stage adaptation of the beloved sitcom to our screens.

We were proud to have supported Macmillan's World's biggest coffee morning. 

What a fabulous time was had by all, we are so grateful for everyone who came along to support this annual event and we hope you enjoyed the tasty treats and refreshments.  Donations big and small, help raise vital funds to support people in the UK living with cancer, from the moment they are diagnosed, throughout their treatment and beyond.

Our resident's at Chater Lodge made use of their iPad, using Oomph! wellness on demand. Oomph! wellness is the UK's leading wellbeing platform; it provides an interactive platform of personalized and expert-led activity programmes for our resident's.

Our resident's enjoyed quizzes and researched all about coffee as we celebrated National coffee day, this is a day dedicated to honouring one of the world's most beloved beverages. Residents indulge in their favourite beverages

Our resident ambassador Michael enjoyed a brain-teasing quiz, Did you know a dentist invented candy floss? 

Residents immersed themselves in an underwater virtual reality, enabling our residents to take a virtual dive while not leaving the comfort of their chairs. The world is their oyster, next trip was walking on the moon!
