Activities at Cheverton Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians, as well as art therapy, flower arranging, Exercise to music and quizzes. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Cara Nutt
I joined Cheverton Lodge in 2024 as an Activity Coordinator. I completed a Health and social care level 2 and performing arts at college. I have worked as an activity coordinator in a care home setting for over 5 years. I love my role, the passion and drive it gives me to ensure everyone receives a fun and fulfilled lifestyle, which is person centred to them.
I love being creative, I sing in my spare time alongside playing the electric guitar, piano and also writing my own music. I look forward to my journey here at Cheverton lodge, and bringing lots of fun!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Cheverton Lodge Care Home
Celebrating World Animal Day.
Cheverton Lodge had a wonderful day celebrating World Animal Day with our feathered friends from Performing pets. We were joined by these cheeky budgies who put smiles of all of our faces.
World Animal Day is an annual global event to celebrate all animals across the world. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of animal welfare and endeavours to raise standards for all animals around the globe.
We are so looking forward to their next visit.
Relaxing in Autumn Sunshine
Residents at Cheverton Lodge enjoyed an afternoon of puzzles and games. We love spending time in our tranquil garden at Cheverton Lodge and have been making the most of the beautiful Autumn Sunshine. Our lovely haven in the heart of Islington, relaxing in the sun and spending time with our friends and loved ones.
We could have danced all day.
Our weekly Dance therapy class is one of our favorites here at Cheverton Lodge Care. . Petronella, professional dancer and dance therapist leads us through a dance flow to different song and not only do we get to dance but we get to chose our favorite songs to dance to.

Happy 58th Anniversary Brian & Joyce!
Residents and staff at Cheverton Lodge came together to celebrate with Brian and Joyce on their 58th wedding anniversary. Our Chef team baked the most delicious cake and the lovely couple were presented with gifts.
Congratulations to your both, we hope you enjoyed your day.
Blooming lovely!
We have been making the most of the September sun here at Cheverton Lodge and spending time in our lovely garden. A haven in the heart of Islington. Watering the tomatoes, checking on the bee attracting flowers and the caterpillars have certainly enjoyed the cabbages.
We picked a few flowers to display in our rooms and bring a little bit of our beautiful garden in doors.
Spending time in the garden
Residents at Cheverton Lodge took advantage of the beautiful spring weather and spent time in our beautiful garden. Playing musical bingo, having a chat, listening to music and singing along. All with a refreshing glass of rose wine. Cheers!
Amaretto for Ida and Nancy!
