Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Happy Easter Everyone!
The Easter bunny came to Collingtree Park and gave everyone a yummy chocolate Easter egg. Every resident had a huge smile on their face as soon as they see ‘Mr bunny’.
Big Snakes and Ladders
We all had a fun-filled Good Friday playing a big board game. All the residents loved playing in teams and seeing who could collect the most Easter eggs as we played. We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and finished up with some homemade hot cross buns!
Easter Fun
The reception area is looking ready for spring; our Activities Coordinator, Rachel, painted an Easter prop board ready for pictures over the weekend.
National Scrabble Day
We love a good game of Scrabble here at Collingtree park, so National Scrabble Day was something we were all looking forward to. We put our thinking caps on and out came our massive Scrabble boards.
Staff and residents fully enjoyed our giant game. It was such a lovely afternoon and many giggles were had!
Crufts 2017
Here at Collingtree Park, we held our very own version of Crufts! We invited relatives and staff to bring in their dogs for the show. It was an amazing afternoon and great pet therapy, as the dogs walked around the home so that residents could have a cuddle and a stroke. Our judges gave all the dogs a mark out of ten and the winner was our PAT dog, Bentley!
Oh no he isn't!
We took a trip to see a theatre production of Sleeping Beauty at Denton Village Hall. The residents laughed, giggled and sang along to the brilliant music numbers. It was a thoroughly entertaining afternoon. We were also lucky enough to meet the actors after, who were more than happy to pose for a picture with us.
