Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Hello, my name is Martin, welcome to our ‘Life’ at Collingtree Park Care Home page.
Hello, my name is Martin, welcome to our ‘Life’ at Collingtree Park Care Home page where you'll find regular updates on all we've been doing, including the events we have planned.
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Twiddle Muffs
On our recent visit to the Dementia Cafe at St Giles Church, Northampton, we were given a gift of several twiddle muffs. These knitted items provide a wonderful source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation and, at the same time, keep your hands snug and warm. These were knitted and donated by the Crafty Souls Friendship Group in Northampton.
Dementia Cafe at Collingtree Park
Collingtree Park residents have been attending the monthly Dementia Cafe that was set up by St. Giles Church, Northampton. The residents have a wonderful time meeting new people, singing, dancing and - this month - maypole dancing. Thanks to all at St Giles Church for their enthusiasm and support.
Start Your Engines
We had a day trip to the Gaydon Motor Museum. The residents had a great time looking at vehicles from all ages, enjoyed a picnic lunch and reminisced about cars they had once owned.
National Dance Day
To celebrate National Dance Day, Collingtree Park held a tea party and was entertained by singer, Gavin. There were songs from theatre, musicals and light opera.
A great time was had by all!
