Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Shopping and Costa Coffee
Who doesn't love a trip to the shops especially when there's time for a Costa Coffee and good old chat. These lovely ladies had a great time browsing the aisles and deciding on what to buy for this week’s baking club.
Monday Moves
Our Monday morning exercise class with Anya from Gfitness certainly got us all moving!
With high impact music to coordinate the group, Anya had us all concentrating on our upper arm strength and mobility, using brightly coloured flexible foam noodles we welcomed the new day with plenty of waves, whooping and hollering!
Furry Friends Visit
Our good friends from Easton Way Farm joined us on Friday with their amazing Alpaca's; Malibu, Aurora and Anaire. These fabulous creatures had just been clipped and were looking sleek in the sun.
We all love it when the Alpaca's visit, they bring joy to our residents with their quirky ways, it was kisses and cuddles all round as our residents and staff had fun feeding them fresh carrots. Their therapeutic benefits shone brightly on such a sunny summer's day.
Holy Communion Service
In good spirits, today we enjoyed our monthly Holy Communion service, organised by our resident ambassadors Nanette and Pam. We were joined by local Collingtree Village vicar James, who shared uplifting messages about faith, hope and life. At Barchester we take pride in our connections with the local community, and we value both spiritual and physical wellbeing.
Prom Surprise
The precious love between a Granddaughter and her Nan is one to cherish. We were privileged to see that generational love for ourselves this month when the Granddaughter of resident Lynne; Hayle Morrish visited her Nan on the way to her Prom Event at The Park Inn, Northampton.
Accompanied by Lynne's daughter-in-law Tanya, Hayle looked a million dollars in her beautiful gown and Lynne's face said it all, she is so proud of Hayle ... it made all our hearts melt.
July Open Day with 'Champagne'
This Saturday we celebrated our July Open Day with entertainment from the husband and wife duo "Champagne Enterprises" who brought joy to our residents as they sang a lovely mixture of 50's songs from Doris Day to 60's Elvis Presley, along with requests that our residents thoroughly enjoyed.
