Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Wootton Park Primary School
Wootton Park Primary School came in to visit our residents at the home and presented them with their personalised homemade Xmas cards, which they gave out to each residents. Afterwards the children chatted with the residents and sang Christmas carols. The residents and children really enjoyed their time together, the joy on the residents faces was so very special to see.
Winter Wonderland Display
The residents enjoyed walking around the Winter Wonderland display at Milton Keynes indoor shopping centre, followed by lunch and hot chocolate & marshmallows.
Remembrance Day
Our Collingtree Park residents came together to watch the parade & service held at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, followed by a 2 minute silence to commemorate the anniversary of the end of the 1st World War.
The residents then shared their own memories of their experience through the war as young children, this was followed up with poems read out by different residents and their families.
World Food Day
Residents enjoyed a Chinese meal at the Collingtree Park Wok Inn in recognition of World Food Day. They were greeted with oriental music playing and a lovely glass of wine, only a few were brave enough to use the chop sticks.
Scouts at Collingtree
As part of our community engagement, the residents enjoyed a visit from the local Boy Scouts. They were amazing with the residents; chatting and listening, they enjoyed themselves so much. We received a lovely email from them commenting on how much they enjoyed their time with our residents. Seth really enjoyed it so much, and wants to learn sign language, and would like to come back to visit soon. In the letter, we also received comments from the parents explaining how much they enjoyed their evening.
Memory Walk
Residents, family and staff all enjoyed taking part in our annual Memory Walk in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, we walked to Collingtree Park Golf House and enjoyed tea and biscuits in the sunshine before a balloon release, we were thrilled to raise £115 for such a great cause.
