Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Ascot Ladies Day
As we could not attend the Ladies Day at Ascot, our residents made and decorated some fascinators. They put their gladrags on, placed bets and watched the races. They celebrated their wins with a glass of bubbly and a cheeky chocolate bar.
Gardening Club
We launched our summer gardening club and planted our wheelbarrows with geraniums and lobelia and other flowers to bring colour in the summer!
Hawaiian Day
Collingtree Park held a Hawaiian Garden Party on the 27th May. We were able to enjoy a great afternoon with the staff and residents. The sun was shining and the atmosphere was exciting. They also enjoyed a rainbow cake made by our kitchen staff with some ice cream and cake.
100th Birthday Celebrations
Dorothy on our Memory Lane really enjoyed her 100th birthday surprise. She had a rainbow cake made, a letter from the !ueen, presents and cards from her friends and family and nearly a room full of flowers! She enjoyed a little tipple of cream sherry and a Zoom call from her family.
80th Birthday Celebrations
One of our residents enjoyed his 80th birthday celebrations; he had cake, presents and a video call with his family, which was set up on the television screen for him.
The Queen's Birthday
We celebrated the Queen's 94th birthday at Collingtree Park. Afternoon tea was served to the residents, with a surprise visit from our own Kate and William, on behalf of the Queen.
