Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

Life at Cossins House Care Home
Compassionate Hands
Residents at Cossins House love to sit back and relax and enjoy spa days. Relaxing hand massages with beautiful scented oils help us relax and feel good.
Tap Dancing
A wonderful afternoon of Tap Dancing by Katie. An outstanding dance performance enjoyed by all at Cossins house. Katie tapped the afternoon away to some well-known songs so we could all sing along to and enjoy. Resident Pat said ‘where does she get that energy from?’ Resident Jean said ‘if only I could dance like that’. We are looking forward to seeing Katie again very soon.
Friendship Groups
Resident Elizabeth was delighted to invite her group of friends to Cossins House to continue their club which has been going for years. Elizabeth said ‘Thank you so much for helping me continue what I enjoyed before moving into Cossins’. Elizabeth is looking forward to meeting with her friends at Cossins House each month.
Baby love
Residents at Cossins House were delighted to meet Care Assistant Nicole’s beautiful baby girl. Iris said I love to cuddle baby’s, hope she visits us again, she is gorgeous.

We are happy to announce that we have won a carehome.co.uk award and have been prized for one of the Top 20 Care Homes in our region for 2022. The awards highlight the most recommended care homes in each region of the UK and the recognition is based on published reviews from residents and their families and friends, as of February 2022.
Family Time
We love to welcome families to Cossins House. Family time is cherished and memories are made. Residents and relatives had a wonderful afternoon of music and pimms in our sunny garden.
