Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

Life at Cossins House Care Home
Pamper Session
Our amazing ladies love to look their best every day. Residents enjoyed a special pamper session recently of hairdressing and make up.
Spanish Day
A wonderful Spanish day at Cossins House. Our residents enjoyed Spanish music and quizzes, followed by a delicious lunch, prepared by our wonderful chef, Raji. At Cossins House we like to engage with different cultures and try new delicious dishes.
Relaxation Therapy
We had a great afternoon of relaxation therapy recently as residents at the home enjoyed a pamper session of face masks and massages. The room was so relaxing with the sounds of waves playing too!
Flower Potting
Our lovely resident Shirley spent the afternoon potting some plants for our beautiful garden. Shirley is very keen on taking care of all the plants inside and outside of our home.
Flower Arranging
Every two weeks residents come together for flower arranging club. We all enjoy getting competitive to see who can create the best bouquet.
Baking Club
We had a really fun messy afternoon recently, mixing ingredients and baking tasty snacks to go with our afternoon tea. Residents really enjoyed getting involved whilst talking about all their favourite recipes they cooked at home.
