Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Cossins House Care Home
Jubilee Celebrations
Residents and staff at Cossins House had a wonderful few days celebrating the Platinum Jubilee with a Big Lunch, Quizzes, Music and fun and games and not to forget the wine. Residents told each other their stories of the Queen’s Coronation. Resident Jean was delighted that she has been here to see both fantastic celebrations.
Enjoying Life
We like to celebrate birthdays together and spend time with each other making friends and enjoying life. Residents at Cossins House love to get together and make every day count.
A trip to the Pub
Residents at Cossins House wanted to go and feed the ducks at West end pond and pop to the pub for a quick drink. The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and the ducks were fed.
Pool Time
Residents had such a fun time in the sunshine enjoying a game of pool football. We had a delicious lunch and played many games throughout the day.
Champagne Party
Residents and staff at Cossins house had a lovely afternoon of Champagne and celebrations to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday.
Pyrford Lock
A lovely afternoon out on the bus to Pyrford Lock. Residents enjoyed watching the boats come along the river whilst sipping on their wines and G&T’s.
