Activities at Crabwall Hall Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Jacqui Cameron
We all know that keeping active is important. We have created a wonderful culture within the home and we work together to give residents the best possible experience. We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. We ensure the team knows each residents' preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationships of trust we build with residents and their families and friends. The home also has its very own minibus for our numerous outings for coffee and shopping, which residents love.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

A Trip to Daleside Garden Center
Yesterday our residents had a lovely time at Daleside Garden Center in Hawarden, the Christmas displays are beautiful, we had a nice warm coffee and mince pie, after lunch activities held a Royal quiz then we raised a toast to King Charles on his 75th birthday, we hope he had a lovely day.
A trip to the Port and Anchor
October 12th our residents has another lovely trip out on the mini bus to the Port and Anchor at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum for a lovely lunch and entertainment, I think they thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine, even a little dance, we then made good use of the dry weather with a lovely walk around the dock just in time for a ship to go past. Our residents and activities team Jacqui and Karen had a brilliant time and look forward to going again.
A Gift for Ken
Resident Ken is very fond of a photograph of his beloved dogs from the 1970's, in the photo the mum has her front paw hugging the pup, Ken treasures this small photo and always shows you when going into his room, the photo is only wallet size but means the world to Ken.
Our activities lead Jacqui went above and beyond, to get this picture enlarged and framed but also have the photo but onto a mug so Ken can see it all the time, Ken was overwhelmed with the kind gift and said he will treasure the gift.
Fiesta time!
Staff and residents at Crabwall Hall Care Home celebrated Mexican Independence Day on September 16th in style by hosting a Mexican-inspired fiesta with traditional Mexican cuisine, music, sangria and chilli tasting competition. Every year on September 16th, the bells of every town square in Mexico sound to remember that in Dolores Hidalgo, a town in Mexico, in the early morning of the 16th of September 1810, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, a Catholic Priest known as Father Hidalgo, made the first cry for Independence from Spain who were the rulers at the time.
Zoo 2 U
What a lovely day we had when zoo 2 u came to visit our residents, we always love them visiting and the variety of animals they bring that our residents can hold and pet.
The skunk was star of the show, absolutely lovely!
