Activities at Crabwall Hall Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Jacqui Cameron
We all know that keeping active is important. We have created a wonderful culture within the home and we work together to give residents the best possible experience. We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. We ensure the team knows each residents' preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationships of trust we build with residents and their families and friends. The home also has its very own minibus for our numerous outings for coffee and shopping, which residents love.

Trip to the garden centre
Every Tuesday our residents go out for coffee this week we had a lovely trip out to Gordale Garden Centre, we enjoyed a little walk round before our coffee.
Resident Janet even bumped into one of her relatives there, Janet's face lit up, the staff are lovely and are always very helpful with our residents even down to looking for a straw.
Birthday celebrations
Resident, Jack recently celebrated his birthday in style surrounded by staff and friends in the home. Jack had a wonderful day. Jack was over the moon with the gifts he received and was delighted to blow out the candles on his cake.
Kirsty Jones, General Manager said: “It was a lovely afternoon which was enjoyed by everyone and it was nice that Jack could share his day with all the other residents and the staff made sure his birthday celebrations were spectacular!”
Summer Fete brings community together
Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together at Crabwall Hall to enjoy a Mad Hatter themed Summer Fair that was held at the weekend.
Crabwall Hall hosted a variety of activities throughout the day, including tombola stall, raffle, jewellery stall, guess the name of teddy, wax melts, live entertainment by Lainey, which were enjoyed by everyone who came to the event.
Best of friends
At Crabwall Hall we are very lucky to have 2 PAT therapy dogs, our resident Mary happens to be Neds favourite and I have to say the feeling is mutual as Mary always insists he's sits on her knee, so Neds handler Brenda has captured a lovely photo and gifted it to Mary today, what a lovely gesture, which put a smile on Mary's face.
‘Herstory’ of Mayfair
Residents across our services had a fantastic time joining Mandy Morrow for a virtual walking tour to learn about the ‘Herstory’ of Mayfair. The Mayfair of Nightingales may be long gone but it still holds a 20th century charm. Birthplace to the late Queen Elizabeth II, home to one of WWII's most decorated female war heroes and a tale of a wealthy Aristocrat and one of France's favourite designers.
We were delighted to take a walk down memory lane and discover stories from one of London's most iconic areas. The experience was truly enjoyed by all.
