Activities at Crabwall Hall Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Jacqui Cameron
We all know that keeping active is important. We have created a wonderful culture within the home and we work together to give residents the best possible experience. We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. We ensure the team knows each residents' preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationships of trust we build with residents and their families and friends. The home also has its very own minibus for our numerous outings for coffee and shopping, which residents love.

Games afternoon
Hands up who likes a game of hang man, its keeps our minds active, whilst enjoying other residents company, we loved playing yesterday, some residents said it was their favorite child hood game and they hadn't played it for a long time.
If you are visiting a loved one and passing by our reception have a go at solving our puzzle, we have given you a little clue to solving it!
Residents celebrate Chinese New Year
Today at Crabwall Hall we celebrated Chinese New year, Year of the rabbit, we decorated our home with traditional decorations, had a delicious lunch of beef curry, rice, prawn crackers and mini chop suey rolls.
After lunch we had a lovely performance by Lainey, it was Lainey's first time at Crabwall Hall and was a great hit with the resident's.
Virtual event with Royal Parks
Across our services our residents have enjoyed a wonderful live virtual talk about starlings, one of the UK’s most gregarious birds, hosted by Rachel Dowse from The Royal Parks London.
Rachel examined our long history with this bird and the importance of common species to our lives. Our residents had the opportunity to find out more about the great murmuration and why we need to pay special attention to these beauties before it's too late.
The virtual experience was truly enjoyed by all.
Christmas Day
Here at Crabwall Hall we had a fantastic Christmas Day, which involved themed movies, singing and dancing, family visits followed by a beautiful festive lunch with turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, puddings and cakes.
In the morning we welcomed Father Christmas and his elves from the North Pole, who brought gifts to all our residents - everyone was busy opening their presents and enjoying a glass of bubbly before the festive feast, prepared by our talented chef and kitchen team.
After lunch, we tuned in to watch and listen to the King's speech. Our day was filled with joy, smiles, music and laughter.
We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
A colourful afternoon
Yesterday at Crabwall Hall was all about Christmas Crafts, our residents enjoyed an afternoon painting, colouring, and sticking various different Christmas ornaments, pictures etc.
We all love getting in the Christmas spirit. Have you crafted something festive for your home, why not show us your pictures so we can show our residents
