Activities at Derham House Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Barchy's Raffle

We have had a raffle going since Christmas here at Derham House and our very own Barchy Bear recently picked the winners.

First prize was a beautiful hamper; second and third prizes were some perfume/bath sets.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets; this has helped us raise some money for the residents' fund.

Coffee Shop Visit

Coffee Shop Visit

Residents enjoyed a trip out to the local coffee shops to ndulge in lattes and cappuccinos.

There’s nothing like the fresh smell of coffee to brighten your day. Going forward,  we will be making regular trips out in the new year to local coffee shops.
