Activities at Edingley Lodge Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Great Tour Of Britain

What an amazing experience for residents, staff & community.

the Tour of Britain passed through Edingley in Newark at 12:46pm. Staff and residents from Edingley Lodge were there to support and cheer on the cyclists. Our residents had made colourful posters especially for The tour of Britain which they waved while they shouted their support. Residents at Edingley Lodge said,

"It was so lovely to be able to go down and cheer the cyclists on, I remember watching them cycle through Newark when I was younger. It was still the same great atmosphere as the cyclists all whizzed by, I loved it. They go so fast! They take your breath away!” The whole community got involved in making this an even more special event,

Oxton Bell Ringers

Edingley Lodge welcomed a talented group of bell ringers this week to join the residents in an afternoon of music. The special group came together with a shared love of hand bell ringing and performed for residents who felt so fortunate to witness the group performance. As the residents gathered in the dining room the group of bell ringers named each individual song before performing so that all could get involved, They even played the tune of happy birthday for resident Anita & family member Hilary, Residents & family had a go at ringing the bells too.
