Activities at Emily Jackson House Care Home

Our activities team continues to offer a wide range of activities to both mentally and physically stimulate our residents. Our activities include one to one shopping, group outings in our minibus, and regularly attending our local church and bowling club. We also enjoy the entertainment from the musicians who come and visit us as well as our PAT dog. We have a range of activities so residents with all abilities and talents can join in activities and social gatherings. We encourage families and volunteers to share the joy with us by taking part in our social events as well.

Food Tasting

We had a chocolate fountain in August, and everyone loved it!

Arts & Crafts

For our virtual ballet event, we made ballerinas and their skirts.

Exercise in the Garden

Our residents absolutely love exercise sessions with music, especially when it’s held in the garden. After every exercise, refreshments are served.

Prayer Evening

Prayer is our conversation with God and we were so delightful to have local people from CRC Church Sevenoaks in our home. We prayed for staff and how we went through the pandemic. We served nice grazing plates, croissants, selection of fruit and selection of beverages.

Baking Cupcakes

We are so happy we have a Head Chef who is always helping us with baking activities. We baked cupcakes and we also decorated them. Baking is very popular in our home; everyone likes to participate in this activity.
