Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Falmouth Glee Singers at Falmouth Court
What a wonderful treat our residents had with a visit from The Glee Singers Falmouth Cornwall. Such a lovely group of singers and the performance was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We love a good sing song here at Falmouth Court.
World Cruise 1st Stop Italy!
Our first World Cruise stop in Italy was a great success and enjoyed hugely by the residents of Falmouth Court. We docked and our residents their families and friends enjoyed all sorts of delicious sampling bites from Italy prepared by our very talented chef Jon.
Hugh our Home Services Advisor had also carefully selected some Italian wines for everyone to taste and discuss.
Then David our activities coordinator got everyone's brains working with an Italian trivia quiz.
Watch this space for next months stop in Spain! Why not come along and join the fun.
Animal Overload!
Our residents had all sorts of animals visit the Home this week. From a Tarantula to a rabbit. Along with snakes and guinea pigs.
It was such a fund afternoon for residents and staff as every one took turns in holding or petting the varied selection on offer.
I do like to be beside the seaside!
What a lovely day to be beside the seaside. Our residents were keen to get out and about to enjoy the sunshine so Hugh our Home Services Advisor loaded up the minibus and took them down to Maenporth beach to sit in the sun and enjoy some lovely drinks from Life's A Beach Cafe.
National Grandparents Day
To Celebrate National Grandparents Day the residents of Falmouth Court enjoyed an afternoon of Prosecco, nibbles and strawberries and cream.
Dawson our PAT (Pets as Therapy) dog also came along to join the party while David our activities coordinator hosted some trivia quiz's. Firstly a music quiz followed by a dog quiz which our residents and visiting friends and family all enjoyed very much.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll Memorial Planting
The residents of Falmouth Court decided they would like to plant a memorial plant in remembrance of Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll. So we loaded up the minibus and took a trip to Chacewater Garden Centre where everyone decided on a Hebe Addenda. This is a beautiful variegated bush with a beautiful lavender flower that is perfect for the bees .
Of course once the selection had been made everyone enjoyed a lovely coffee in the café before returning to Falmouth Court and selecting a place to plant the bush.
