Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Visit from ‘Reggie’ one of our PAT (Pets as Therapy) Dogs
Our residents had a lovely visit with ‘Reggie’ one of our PAT (Pets as Therapy) dogs over the weekend. Reggie always gets our residents smiling and loves to give everyone some love and affection.
Animal therapy is such an important activity that we try and encourage as often as possible here at Falmouth Court.
Beach Trip
Another lovely trip to the beach for the residents of Falmouth Court. We loaded up the minibus and took advantage of the sun while we still have it. Everyone enjoy a lovely coffee from Gylly Beach Café while watching people swim in the sea. Our residents could not quite believe that people were still braving the cold sea! We love top be able to provide such life enriching activities here at Falmouth Court and our residents thoroughly enjoy their trips out into the local community.
Cards for Grandparents Day
Today, Hugh our Home Services Advisor delivered a bunch of these fabulous Barchester cards to Happy Days Nurseries & Pre-Schools Falmouth. To celebrate the upcoming National Grandparents Day, Falmouth Court donated these lovely cards for the children to decorate and give to their grandparents on this special day.
We even dropped off some goodie bags for all the staff too!

National Dog Day
We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating National Dog Day at the end of last week. A big thank you to the local community for bringing in their dogs to visit with our residents.
There was a lovely feast of nibbles for both humans and their furry friends along with some balls which our residents enjoyed playing catch with the dogs.
Then everyone enjoyed the voice of young singer Lilly who came and performed for everyone.
K9 Crusaders - Funds Raised
So we managed to raise £250 with our dog show in aid of K9 Crusaders Dog Welfare they raised an additional £87 from their Tombola too. And they received another donation the day I popped in as a result of the dog show.
What a fun community event it was with such an overwhelming turnout of dogs and their owners.
Thank you to our local community for coming along and making it such a special day. Thank you for all the wonderful feedback we have received also.
