Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Chloe Collins
I have moved to Falmouth from Kent where I was already in place at another Barchester home as the Activities Coordinator. I love providing our residents with fulfilling activities and my specialty is arts and crafts. I have a degree in Fine Arts and achieved a first in the subject. I strive to provide our residents with a varied range of life enriching activities. I like to get to know each residents and their interests to I can tailor activities to individuals interests and hobbies.

Life at Falmouth Court Care Home
Mini Bus Trip to the River
Another lovely trip out over the weekend for the residents of Falmouth Court. We took two minibus loads down to Muddy Beach where everyone enjoyed a lovely drink in the sun while watching the activity on the river.
Private Dining Birthday
Today one of our residents booked out our private dining room for a birthday party and invited her family to come in for afternoon tea.
Just another one of the amazing extra facilities we offer our residents here at Falmouth Court.
The chefs prepared a tailored array of cakes and sandwiches and the care team decorated the room with balloons and banners.
Gospel Choir Perform at Falmouth Court
So the finale of the Queens Jubilee celebrations at Falmouth Court saw a gospel choir come and perform for our residents. It was such an amazing event for all residents and staff. Everyone had the most spectacular afternoon.
Our activities team are always finding new life enriching events and activities. Here at Barchester we pride ourselves in making sure each resident has a full and happy time with us.
Jubilee Pony Party
So as a part of the Queens Jubilee celebrations the residents of Falmouth Court had a return visit from a very special guest!
Gail one of our carers brought her miniature American Horses in to see everyone. On this visit she even went in the lift to go upstairs to ‘Memory Lane’ our dementia community. Everyone loved the afternoon and as we all know, you can’t beat animal therapy.
Princess Pavilion Jubilee Tea Party
So as a part of the busy schedule of events almost all of the residents of Falmouth Court took a trip in the mini bus down to the Princess Pavilion last week for the Jubilee tea party and tea dance. It was so wonderful to get almost everyone out to this lovely event. They all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon starting with a delicious cream tea and then they all went inside to watch the tea dance.
Jubilee Hat Decorating
Here at Falmouth Court, we are having lots of Jubilee themed celebrations and we look forward to sharing our news with you.
It feels as if we have all come together as Her Majesty The Queen has become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, and at Falmouth Court we had a fun afternoon of hat decorating ready for the upcoming garden party.
Very kindly one of our residents friends volunteered to come and help everyone make their own displays for their hats.
