Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Beautician starts at Falmouth Court

We are very excited at Falmouth Court to introduce Alana.

Alana is a fantastic Beauty Therapist and will be joining us in the New Year. She will offer a host of wonderful, therapeutic treatments which include: Massage’s, Manicures, Pedicures and Facials to name a few - to our wonderful new residents.

Alana has worked in Care settings, pampering residents for more than 14 years, and says that she adores her work and the results she achieves. She enjoys talking and listening and enabling residents to feel extra special.

One of the amazing features of Falmouth Court is our very own on-site hair salon and therapy room.

Companion Cat arrives at Falmouth Court

Another exciting arrival today at Falmouth Court…

Our companion pets support with our life enrichment at the home by supporting dementia residents to enjoy the look, feel and sound of a real cat but they're so much more than soft fur, soothing purrs and pleasant meows.

The cats although robotic, have super soft fur, a vibrating purr for a real feel, built-in sensors that respond to motion and touch including petting, hugging and motion much like the real ones you know and love. This personally rich experience can bring joy and comfort to loved ones living with dementia for a soothing and comforting experience.

Hairdresser starts at Falmouth Court

Meet Sarah Sawyer our in house hairdresser.

Sarah has been a hairdresser for over 30 years and working in care homes for the last 7 years. Sarah is very much looking forward to meeting all our new residents and providing a wonderful service in our beautiful on site hair salon. Sarah really enjoys being the highlight of our residents week when they can get their hair done without having to leave the building. Keep your eyes peeled for some pictures of our beautiful salon coming soon.

Mini bus arrival at Falmouth Court

A great day for the team to see the arrival of our Mini bus this week.

We are all looking forward to taking residents out and about in the community in the spring.

Welcome to the new team!

A very long awaited day here at Falmouth Court as we welcome all the new staff on their first day.  They will now go through several weeks of training and induction into Barchester.

Welcome to our new Deputy Manager

This week we welcomed a new team member, Catalin...

Hi my name is Catalin and I am the Deputy Manager at Falmouth Court.

I am originally from Romania where I graduated from Generalist Nurse College as a Generalist Nurse and worked as a nurse in protection of children with disabilities. I have a passion for supporting care teams and have responsibility for overseeing the resident care at Falmouth Court. I’ve always been a very caring and empathic person and interested in how every person can be so unique. I am very passionate about high quality care using my clinical knowledge to develop carers I lead. I learned during my traveling the importance of contributing to people’s quality of life from residents to my colleagues including the difference quality care can make. I have also studied Theatre and Arts. Being passionate about the arts I feel lucky to hear and learn about our resident’s stories, which makes them who they are.  It’s a privilege to be part of their story.  As I like to say, every one of us is a book, and every person you meet is a chance to a better you. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our home.
