Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Chloe Collins
I have moved to Falmouth from Kent where I was already in place at another Barchester home as the Activities Coordinator. I love providing our residents with fulfilling activities and my specialty is arts and crafts. I have a degree in Fine Arts and achieved a first in the subject. I strive to provide our residents with a varied range of life enriching activities. I like to get to know each residents and their interests to I can tailor activities to individuals interests and hobbies.

Life at Falmouth Court Care Home
Choose a Tree for the Jubilee
So our residents went to Chacewater Garden Centre yesterday and chose a ’Tree for the Jubilee’
We thought it would be nice to take our residents along and let them choose a tree to plant in our garden for the Jubilee celebrations.
They chose a Cotoneaster. This has white flowers with red berries so quite fitting.
Everyone enjoyed looking at all the different options and then enjoyed a nice coffee in the cafe afterwards.
Hugh the Home Services Advisor then planted it in pride of place in the garden this morning.
Monica's Birthday Celebrations
Happy birthday to Monica. Monica invited her family to come in and join her celebrations with a lovely afternoon tea prepared by our marvelous chefs.
The care team decorated with banners and balloons and they all enjoyed a lovely afternoon in our beautiful garden lounge.
We love to make a fuss of our residents on their birthdays and really focus on getting to know our residents and make sure we are providing food, activities and care suited to each individual.
Meet 'Reggie' The PAT Dog.
Meet Reggie!
Reggie is a new PAT (Pets as Therapy) dog that has come along to visit the residents of Falmouth Court. Our residents love their visits from furry friends.
Reggie had a lovely first visit meeting everyone.
A Large Game of Cards
A very large game of cards this afternoon in our beautiful garden lounge at Falmouth Court.
We are very lucky here to have two activities coordinators and they run a wide variety of life enriching activities each day along with planning special events and parties too. Not to mention the weekly trips out in the minibus to local places of interest.
Sponsored Walk for Alzheimer's Society
We did it!
With sore feet, hips and toes, we got there.
We smashed our target and we are both so thankful for the support we have been shown.
We know that the Alzheimer's Society will be hugely thankful also for the awareness and funds.
It’s been a privilege to be able to support them
