Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

I have moved to Falmouth from Kent where I was already in place at another Barchester home as the Activities Coordinator. I love providing our residents with fulfilling activities and my specialty is arts and crafts. I have a degree in Fine Arts and achieved a first in the subject. I strive to provide our residents with a varied range of life enriching activities. I like to get to know each residents and their interests to I can tailor activities to individuals interests and hobbies.

Pets as therapy dog 'Dawson' arrives at Falmouth Court
Today the activities team, David and Haley welcomed Helen who bought our first PAT ( Pets as therapy) dog ‘Dawson’ to Falmouth Court.
Pets As Therapy dogs are always greatly received at Falmouth Court. It’s always a wonderful treat for our residents.

First residents move into Falmouth Court
So another milestone for us all this week at Falmouth Court as we welcome our first resident.
With many more residents due to move into our beautiful new care home over the coming weeks the team are very excited to have finally have residents to provide excellent care for.
Falmouth Court is officially open!!!
At long last Falmouth Court is now open!!!
A very long awaited day for the team, with the unfortunate build delays it was a great celebration.
This week we open our doors as Falmouth’s leading care provider. Sadly not the big opening event we had planned due to Covid but General Manager, Haley Reeve-Larson was over the moon to finally cut the ribbon and open our beautiful new care home.
Jayne Kirkham - Cornwall Councillor for Falmouth Penwerris visits Falmouth Court
Another important visitor today at Falmouth Court.
Jayne Kirkham - Cornwall Councillor for Falmouth Penwerris came to have a tour with Hugh Dickinson our Home Services Advisor.
They toured the whole building and the facilities we offer before meeting our General Manager Haley Reeve-Larson.
Councillor Kirkham was very impressed with our brand new premium care facility and felt it was a great addition to the town.
Mayor & Mayoress of Falmouth visit Falmouth Court
We had some very important visitors today at Falmouth Court!
The Mayor and Mayoress of Falmouth came and had a tour of our beautiful new care home.
Hugh our Home Services Advisor gave them a full tour of the building and the extensive facilities on offer to our residents.
It’s safe to say they were very impressed.
Pizza lunch to celebrate last day of preparation before opening
A massive thank you to Domino’s in Falmouth for giving us half price pizzas for the team to celebrate the final day before we welcome our first resident tomorrow.
Everyone has worked very hard over the last few weeks cleaning, organising and preparing the home ready for opening on the 24th January.
The team are so excited to welcome our first resident and start providing excellent care, life enriching activities and of course a fine dining experience!
