Activities at Field House Care Home

The Activities Coordinators here at Field House are always keen to learn about residents' interests and hobbies, tailoring meaningful activities to the likes and dislikes of those we support. Our mission is to ignite the past, appeal to current interests and embrace new ones, improving quality of life whilst stimulating the mind and senses. Activities are carried out via small groups or individually, supported by local volunteers. We have access to a range of local community facilities and nearby places of interest, prompting community engagement, and hold special events at the home, where we are entertained by guest vocalists and performers, with 'The Quiz Master' being a fan favourite.

Caroline Davis

Activities Coordinator

Hi, I'm Caroline and I joined Field House in 2021 from another Barchester home. I have worked in care for the last 30 years and a big part of that has been with Barchester.

Here at Field House, I organise a variety of activities and social events within the home and in the community, such as gardening club arts and crafts, weekly exercise sessions along with live singers and musicians every month. We are also keen on regular outings to local landmarks, museums, cafes and shopping centres.

In my job, I'm able to develop excellent relationships with residents and their families providing the support they need. I am very passionate about my job role as it is very important to us as a team that every individual is able to live the life they wish and feel fulfilled in their everyday activities maintaining past hobbies and finding new ones.

Easter Bonnet Crafting

The residents at Field House are planning and enjoying the start of the Easter celebrations by designing and helping create an Easter display, and getting their Easter bonnets ready for Friday mornings parade.

A Very Generous Gift!

The lovely owners of Vine & Co in church Stretton gifted us a huge chocolate bunny.

We have decided to raffle this off to try and raise some money to go towards our residents fund. This will go towards some extra special treats on our sea-side trip later this year.

We are so grateful for this lovely gift and also honoured that we hold such good relationships with businesses in the local community.

A Visit from Ronnie the French Bulldog Puppy

Last week the residents of Field House were so lucky to have a visit from the lovely French bulldog Ronnie, the shouting out of “me next “was just amazing and one lady asked if she could put him in her hand bag and keep him forever!

The visit from Ronnie sparked memories and conversations of pet dogs and other animals residents had kept over the years.

What a wonderful surprise, and we all hope to see you again soon Ronnie!
